Kababjees delivers a straightforward Pakistani dining experience tucked away on South Broadway in Hicksville. This full-service restaurant leans into traditional flavors with a menu featuring classic dishes like Goat Karahi, Beef Nihari, and Chicken Biryani, alongside freshly baked breads such as Garlic Naan and Lahori Kulcha. The setting inside brings an authentic touch with Pakistani-themed decor, including embroidered artwork and imagery that connect diners to the culture behind the cuisine.

The atmosphere is warm without being fussy—comfortable for families gathering for a leisurely meal or groups looking to enjoy bold, richly spiced dishes without much pretense. A noticeable feature is the calm and courteous service, which often includes attentive staff checking in regularly and encouraging diners to try refills, especially during their popular weekend breakfast buffet. This buffet is notable for its array of hearty morning fare like nihari, paya, keema, and halwa puri, making it a draw for those who appreciate traditional breakfast items in a casual setting.

Portion sizes here tend to be generous and priced reasonably, serving locals who come for consistent flavors and a no-frills ambiance. The kebabs—seekh, boti, and gola varieties—stand out for their juicy and well-seasoned character, paired perfectly with fresh, soft breads that are often noted as some of the best parts of the meal. Desserts such as Kulfi and Gulab Jamun offer a familiar, satisfying conclusion to the meal.

Visiting Kababjees is best during weekend mornings if you want to experience the breakfast buffet buzz, while weekday evenings provide a quieter environment suited for savoring rich, slow-cooked specialties. The welcoming, homey vibe paired with flavorful dishes caters especially to those with a fondness for classic Pakistani cooking, making it more of a dependable spot than a culinary showplace.

The atmosphere is great. Well decorated with traditional Art Work and paintings, a unique map of Pakistan made with embroidered cloth. Food was good, we did not go for Buffet, rather ordered separate dishes. Service has been prompt and courteous.

We came for breakfast on Saturday and really enjoyed it. The buffet had a great spread of desi dishes like paya, nihari, keema, chana, halwa puri, and much more. The owner was very kind, moving around, checking on guests, and personally asking if we needed anything. He even encouraged people to go for refills whenever he noticed empty plates. This breakfast was a treat from our brother-in-law, and it truly felt special. We wrapped it up with a strong cup of milk tea, which was the perfect ending to a satisfying meal.

Kababjees in Hicksville is a decent spot for Pakistani food. The seekh kebabs and chicken boti were juicy and flavorful, nihari was rich and comforting, and the naan was fresh. Portions are generous and prices are fair. Service was quick and friendly. It’s decent and reliable, but I wouldn’t say it’s the absolute best in the area…..places nearby give it tough competition. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re craving average desi grill and curries.

Oh, man! What can I say about Kababjees? Only that it's some of the best Pakistani food I've ever had the please of eating. We ordered gola kababs which were seasoned perfectly & were so juicy, palak paneer which was so fresh and delicious, naan that were so poofy and hot. The tikka we ordered was amazing as well it had perfect orange bbq color to it. The inside is Pakistani theme with the rickshaw and colorful paintings of Pakistani folks. I highly recommend this restaurant.
